The leash is a high quality, super low recoil 16 foot retractable made just for cats. It is designed to feed off their instincts to chase the feathers, but they cannot catch them.
The leash has feathers & a bell that are tethered to the recoil on the leash so when kitty is distracted you allow slack on the leash with the push of a button and the feathers drop to the floor- give them a wiggle and kitty comes running towards them, as kitty does this you press the button again releasing the recoil and it sucks the feathers up the leash and towards you as kitty is already moving thus changing kitty’s direction to the direction you want.
Over time you’ll just jingle the handle and kitty will come in the direction you want with the foundation that the training builds.
It’s repetition training- because cats don’t react well to negative reinforcement, so this beats that obstacle.

I saw Mavi on Cat People right after I got my new Bengal kitten, Dahlia. I noted Kayla said the key to all the training was a harness. I did buy a pet store harness that looked similar. However, within two weeks Dahlia almost dislocated a shoulder trying to get out of it. I decided to find Kayla's website and, it took a while, but I found her. I LOVE these products and Dahlia does VERY WELL with them. She doesn't struggle against this surfer cat harness at all; she really treats it like "second skin", exactly as Kayla explained in their Netflix Cat People episode. I am so pleased I went in and bought "backup" of everything....the carrier (SO COOL IT HAS A LITTER BOX IN THE BOTTOM FOR ON THE GO ADVENTURES), the leash and harness, threw in the life jacket, too, just for good measure. I am super excited that Kayla, Nick and Mavi are out there making things for cats, and Bengals in particular, so much better. Thanks!
We’ve only tried our leash trainer and waterproof harness a few times as it’s still winter here. But utilizing our warm 40 degree days (unusual for MN) for some practice. Our Felix Felicis (Mainecoon) is a little distracted with the outside world yet so the feathers haven’t fully grabbed his attention like they do inside the house. I was immediately drawn to the beautiful color options you offered. I’m hoping with continued use he’ll improve.
